Amazon Expands Delivery Options in Germany

Amazon is expanding its parcel delivery options in Germany through a new partnership with Myflexbox. The cooperation will give customers another way to receive their Amazon orders more flexibly.

Myflexbox Offers an Open Parcel Locker Network

Myflexbox operates an open parcel locker network that is not limited to a single delivery provider. Unlike DHL Packstations, which are designed only for DHL shipments, Myflexbox lockers can be used by different retail and logistics companies.

In Germany, Myflexbox already works with several logistics partners, including Amazon, UPS, DPD, GLS and FedEx.

Convenient Locations Across Germany and Austria

Similar to other parcel locker networks, Myflexbox places its stations in easily accessible locations. These include retail stores, petrol stations, residential areas and transport hubs.

According to the company, its network currently includes more than 2,300 parcel stations across over 800 cities and municipalities in Germany and Austria.

Amazon Highlights Flexibility and Last-Mile Efficiency

Amazon says the partnership is intended to make parcel delivery more convenient, flexible and reliable for customers. The additional pickup points will allow shoppers to collect their parcels around the clock at locations close to home.

The company also expects the cooperation to help make last-mile delivery more efficient by expanding the number of accessible pickup options.

A Growing Network of Pickup Points

Viraj Chatterjee, Vice President Delivery Networks & Technology at Amazon, said the integration of Myflexbox adds a growing network of 24/7 pickup locations to Amazon’s delivery options. According to Amazon, this gives customers more freedom when receiving orders while supporting a more efficient delivery process.
