InPost introduces a suitcase designed for parcel lockers
InPost is taking its parcel locker network into a new category: travel. The company has presented Parcel Suitcase, a suitcase designed specifically to fit into InPost parcel lockers and make it easier to send luggage between Poland and selected European countries.
A suitcase made for InPost lockers
Parcel Suitcase was created to fit into a size C compartment in InPost parcel lockers. Its dimensions are 35 x 37 x 59 cm, which allows it to use the available locker space efficiently. The suitcase weighs 2.5 kg and offers 56 litres of capacity.
Removable wheels make shipping easier
One of the most practical features is the removable wheel system. The suitcase has four rotating wheels that can be detached before shipping. Users can place them in a dedicated cover and store them inside the suitcase, then quickly attach them again after collection.
Durable materials and travel-ready features
The suitcase is made from polycarbonate, a material commonly used in modern premium luggage. InPost says the design is resistant to scratches and dents. It also includes a four-digit combination lock, an adjustable handle and internal straps to keep items secure during transport.
A new alternative to checked baggage
The idea behind Parcel Suitcase is simple: instead of paying for checked baggage or carrying a heavy suitcase through airports and public transport, travellers can send part of their luggage in advance to a parcel locker at their destination. After arrival, they can collect it just like a regular parcel.
Available between Poland and seven European countries
The service can be used to send luggage from Poland to Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain and Portugal. It also works in the opposite direction, allowing users to send their suitcase from these countries back to Poland.
No extra app required
InPost does not require users to install a separate app or learn a new process. Sending the suitcase works like sending a standard InPost parcel. Collection is also handled through the parcel locker system, meaning users can pick up their luggage without waiting for a courier or standing in airport baggage queues.
The suitcase costs around €75
Parcel Suitcase is available in the InPost store for 320 zł, which is around €75. For frequent travellers, especially those flying with low-cost airlines, the product could become an alternative to paying repeated checked baggage fees.
InPost expands beyond ecommerce deliveries
Parcel Suitcase shows that InPost wants to use its locker network for more than online shopping deliveries. By combining parcel lockers with travel needs, the company is testing a more unusual use case for its infrastructure and positioning its lockers as part of everyday mobility in Europe.
